Chart notes
HEAT OF THE NIGHT sprinted to a clear lead off the rail, angled in and held sway without challenge to the lane, then drew off and was kept to the task. PATRIOT DRIVE mid pack, looped up three and four wide through the second turn, came four wide into the stretch, drifted in slightly, edged up for the place and held. D'CRAZINESS rated close up, saved ground through the turns, came through inside of rivals into the stretch, then weakened the final furlong and held the show. CHIC N WILBUR allowed to settle, looped four wide through the second turn, angled widest into the lane and passed tiring rivals for a share. JEN'S SONG mid pack and inside, dropped back into the second turn, came through inside into the stretch and improved his position. ORAZIO pulled to contention through the first turn and gained position down the backstretch, then faded three wide through the second turn. LORD BARNA well placed and outside, held position four wide through the second turn, then had no stretch rally.
