BOONE'S SPIRIT was impeded at the start then settle along the inside, was gaining ground steadily on the backstretch into the far turn, angled out to the three path, dug in gamely then gained command in the final furlong and held on driving to prevail. BIG PAPER raced on the back stretch while six wide, was urging on the far turn to rally in the early stretch and was closing willingly. SMARTY ALEX broke inwardly at the start, then settled in the three path on the back stretch, was in a steady drive to bid five to six wide on the far turn and closed well in the home stretch but it was not enough. LAWMAKER set the pace along the inside, was in a long drive, was used up on the far turn then gave way in late stretch. VERSATILE tracked the pace from the inside then bid mildly on the far turn into the stretch but it was too little too late. KENRIC chased the pace from the two path, was in a steady drive to rally four wide in the early stretch then flattened out in the end. HEY BOSS raced in the middle of the pack from the inside, was moving up to bid on the second turn from the two path but came up evenly in the stretch. PAID TWICE tracked the pace in the middle of the field while two wide then bid on the far turn, angled out to the five path to rally in the stretch and was no threat. GUIDED ARROW broke inward and bumped rival then raced from the four path in the middle of the field, was moving up in the late backstretch into the turn but failed to rally. WHEN IN ROME chased the leader from the inside, was in a hard drive on the far turn, was used up and tired in the stretch. RUNQUIETLY hopped at the start then was bumped by rival, was unhurried early and no factor. SMOOTH TALKING MAN tracked the pace between rivals on the backstretch then faded entering the second turn and was no menace.
