Chart notes
EXPENSIVE CUT set pace off the inside, was challenged from the rail on the final turn, repelled that challenge and edged away again. MARGIN OF AIR saved ground, bid on the final turn, angled out midstretch and held the place. MR. EINSTEIN stalked the leaders three wide, loomed a threat then went evenly late. DISTRACTANDATTACK pressed the winner outside for five furlongs and faltered. READY REWARD raced within striking range for three quarters and gave way. NIANGUA lagged far behind throughout. HARD STRIKE raced inside then weakened steadily loosing contact with his field.
