LACE REVOLUTION settled off the pace about the three path the opening turn, started a bid leaving the three eighths pole, closed to a slim lead in the three path leaving the far turn, dueled clear mid-stretch and held on under steady handling. VILLAREGGIA steadied off the heels of Lace Revolution and came out a path or two into the first turn, picked up the chase from the three eighths pole, ran at the rail on the far turn, angled to the four path into the lane, dug in for second later yards and was gaining on the winner. MIDNIGHT REGRET rated a slim lead inside, came under pressure nearing the five sixteenths pole, ran at the rail on the far turn, was caught leaving the turn and flattened the final sixteenth. WICKED WISDOM was roughed and angled out from the heels of Villareggia into the first turn then moved back to the inside, picked up the chase from the seven sixteenths pole, rounded the far turn near the rail but showed little in the lane. MUSICAL CAT angled around errant rivals into the first turn, gave chase from the seven sixteenths pole, ran in the five path of the far turn and showed little in the lane. CHESAPEAKE STORM stalked off the rail, gave chase leaving the seven sixteenths pole then faded at the rail on the far turn. GOSSIPING ducked out at the break then saved ground. The Stewards reviewed a claim of foul against the rider of Lace Revolution for alleged interference into the first turn, lodged by the rider of Villareggia, but determined there was no foul.
