Chart notes
MISSED THE BOAT came in at the start and then again entering the first turn creating traffic problems for Pistol Power and Mixo, then dueled for the lead with Mixo from along the outside for a half mile, opened clear and increased his advantage. FOR INTERFERENCE ENTERING THE FIRST TURN, MISSED THE BOAT WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM FIRST AND PLACED LAST. PISTOL POWER came out slightly at the start, then checked entering the first turn when Missed the Boat came, was permitted to settle in stride, came four-wide into the stretch and finished strongly for the place, then was awarded the win via disqualification. HYDROGEN was reserved off the early pace, came six-wide into the stretch and finished in a mild rally. ROCKY TOUGH was pinched back at the start, then dropped well off the pace and was unable to recover the lost ground while racing along the inside. MIXO checked entering the first turn when put in tight by Miss the Boat, then moved up along the inside to dispute the issue for five furlongs and tired.
