CAERUS vied three wide for the lead, dueled on the turn, gained a short lead, dueled with BACKATYA passing the furlong marker and edged away under urging. BACKATYA vied inside for the lead, dueled on the turn, dug in gamely inside in the stretch drive and came up second best. B B BAD raced two wide off the pace, angled out at the top of the lane and rallied mildly outside. ONE WHIRLWIND RIDE vied between rivals, dueled on the turn and weakened. GASLIGHT raced close up on the inside, chased on the turn, lacked a bid and weakened. RIDICULOUS raced off the pace inside and did not factor.
