Chart notes
MR. STANG dueled for the lead on the outside of COASTAL JAZZ and then was between rivals by the quarter pole, dug in gamely by the furlong marker and kicked clear to prove best under a drive. SPITTIN IMAGE stalked the early pace three wide, made a four wide bid by the quarter pole and went on even terms for the lead nearing the furlong marker but hung late, second best. MR. MISCHIEF chased the early pace four wide, then was three wide on the turn and came five wide into the drive while making a bid but had no late kick. FANTASTIC DAY was allowed to settle early and saved ground on the turn, came two wide into the lane and had no rally. COASTAL JAZZ dueled for the lead on the inside and weakened in the lane. TAKE CHARGE DEPUTY was allowed to settle four wide, then was four to five wide on the turn and had no response.
