KALINE broke alertly, contested the pace early, edged away down the backstretch the second turn then was under steady urging to hold. COOLCROSS was bumped by SHANGHAI WILD CAT at the start, tracked the pace to the half, bid two wide on the far turn but could not impact the winner while easily second best. WINGS OF THE WIND got outsprinted early, raced two wide throughout but could not offer the needed late response. MAXINAMILLION drifted four wide early, chased the pace to the half, made a bid three deep on the far turn but was outkicked and weakened. SHANGHAI WILD CAT broke in and bumped COOLCROSS, had brief speed then was outrun and gave out.
