Chart notes
BACK TO WORK was unhurried early, moved up on the turn while racing 2-wide, split rivals during the drive and finished strongly to be up in the final sixteenth. CHIEF GOVERNOR dropped back early, rallied five-wide into the stretch and finished full of run. MO AFLEET disputed the pace from along the outside of Full Bore, was carried out by that one entering the stretch, came in slightly late and held on for the show. SUPER HUNK was never far back, came three-wide into the stretch and was gaining late. FULL BORE set the pace racing removed from the rail, drifted out nearing the quarter pole, came out slightly in deep stretch, steadied and finished willingly. LEA COSTA ME saved ground to the stretch, angled out for the drive and failed to seriously threaten. E. Z. PAPA was in tight on the turn racing along the inside, dropped back, came six-wide into the stretch, drifted further out and failed to menace. SMOKE STACK was forwardly placed early while racing three-wide and tired. JERSEY JOE was forwardly placed along the inside early and stopped. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE ACTIONS IN THE STRETCH AND THE JOCKEY OF FULL BORE LODGED AND OBJECTION AGAINST MO AFLEET, BUT AFTER VIEWING THE FILMS MADE NO CHANGE IN THE ORDER OF FINISH.
