Chart notes
SAN COSTANTINO allowed to settle, angled out through the turn, angled three wide into the stretch, made a steady gain and edged ahead late. WROTE IN STONE well placed, gained position two and three wide through the turn, bid outside the leader into the stretch, dueled with that one the final furlong, edged ahead late and was outfinished. RUNAWAY STAR sprinted to a clear lead soon after the start, held sway without challenge to the furlong marker, then dueled with WROTE IN STONE, weakened late and held the show. GOLDEN SURVIVOR well placed, held position two and three wide through the turn, came four wide into the stretch and had a mild late gain. COACH P well placed and inside, lost some ground through the turn, then faded into the stretch. ZEALIN IT unhurried, looped four wide through the turn, came widest into the stretch and faded.
