Chart notes
HONG KONG HARRY (IRE) broke in and bumped rival, unhurried in the two path, angled to the inside then tipped back out on the far turn, got forced out and bumped in upper stretch, drifted inward while reeling in the leader nearing the sixteenth pole and won going away. IRIDEO (ARG) fractious in the gate, settled inside, saved ground to the stretch, came out and bumped the winner then got floated in midstretch and kept on for second. CATHKIN PEAK (IRE) raced two wide outside a rival at the back, went between foes on the backstretch, tipped three wide on the far turn, drifted in a bit in the stretch and gained the show. AIR FORCE RED broke well and showed the way into the clubhouse turn, dueled on the backstretch then chased the leader past the seven-sixteenths pole, continued closest in pursuit on the far turn, reeled in rival and took over at the eighth pole but yielded in the late stages. TARANTINO allowed to settle in the early going, traveled on the inside then moved to the two path and failed to rally. NONE ABOVE THE LAW bumped leaving the gate, took back early and moved inside, got put in a bit tight briefly at the three-eighths pole, cut the corner into the stretch and lacked a rally. GOLIAD had early speed and went four wide into the turn, chased the leader around the bend then went up to duel from outside on the backstretch, cleared at the seven-sixteenths pole, padded the lead around the far turn, held a diminishing lead in upper stretch, overtake at the eight pole and weakened. ASTRONAUT raced three wide near the back early on, came four wide into the stretch and never responded when called upon. FIGURETI (CHI) traveled two wide off the pace early, dropped back three wide on the far turn and had little left for the drive.
