Chart notes
VILLAGE QUEEN well placed and outside, held position two and three wide through the second turn, came three wide into the stretch, made a steady gain and drove clear late. STARSHIP BELMONT bumped at the start, tracked the pace, raced boxed through the second turn, angled out three wide when clear, then lacked then needed late kick and edged up for the place. LOVELY EVER AFTER bumped at the start, was allowed to settle, saved ground through the turns, came through inside into the stretch, angled out and edged up for the show. DAKOTA DANCER sprinted to a clear lead soon after the start, then weakened late and held a share. THISLADYIS THE LAW allowed to settle, looped three and four wide through the second turn, came four wide into the stretch and improved her position. BARBARA was never involved. STARSHIP MACYS stalked the pace on the outside, held position on the two path through the second turn, then drifted in into the stretch and faded.
