Chart notes
HIZAAM stalked the dueling leaders outside, bid into the lane, rallied clear and lasted under steady handling. SILVER FURY outrun early inside, angled wide in the stretch with a steady gain. CRAFTY JACK alternated for the lead outside, bid clear briefly and held on gamely. PUTTHEGLASSDOWN settled outside off the pacesetters, loomed a threat then flattened out. BINKSTER dropped back early in the two path and was never a factor. STRAWBERRY RED saved ground close up, was asked for run midway on the turn and faded. JOHNNY OBVIOUS vied along the inside to the stretch and faltered. CALL FITZROY trailed throughout then narrowed the gap with some energy.
