Chart notes
SIR SAMUEL settled off the early pace, made an advance through the far turn raced four into the upper stretch and drew off to be well clear late under steady handling. DUNKLE was unhurried early, moved up through the far turn, raced four to five wide in the stretch run and finished well to get up for the place position late. TRAVEL GUIDE raced four wide near the seven eighths pole, stalked the pace from the outside, raced three to two wide in the stretch run and had not enough for the top pair. CHEF MENTEUR sent along from the inside to set the early pace and weakened a bit in the drive. STRONG AGAIN rated along from the inside early on, continued an inside run around the far turn through the stretch, was blocked near the sixteenth pole, altered out and kept on to the wire. TACTICAL FORCE dropped near the back of the pack early, raced two to three wide in the lane and had no late rally.. MUTARAAFEQ stalked the pace, raced four wide near the three sixteenths pole and had to be vanned off after pulling up. BLACK SEAL raced in tight quarters early on, threw head, raced along the inside around the far turn into the upper stretch and never threatened.
