FRANKIE MACHINE broke sharply and pressed the leaders into the first turn while racing two out from the rail, continued to force the issue three wide through the second turn and in the run down the backstretch, continued three wide into the final turn and quickly came away with the lead, and held the closers safely at bay late under confident handling. ERLICH settled off the contested early pace while saving ground at the rail entering the stretch the first time, saved ground through the second turn while racing into a tracking trip, rallied along the inside entering the final turn, and closed with late interest four wide in deep stretch to get up for the place late. VON DOM tracked the dueling leaders through the stretch the first time while racing two out from the rail, commenced his bid four wide entering the final turn, and finished one out from the rail in the drive to garner a share. WE'RE IN COMMAND unhurried early while dropping back to trail in the run to the first turn, was content to bide his time at the back of the pack in the run down the backside, rallied four wide entering the final turn, and finished well five wide in the drive while improving his position late. ONE FIFTY ONE away alertly and stalked the leaders through the stretch the first time while racing two out from the rail, was pushed along three wide in the run to the final turn, carried on four wide through the turn, but lacked the needed closing response when called upon. YOU DON'T OWN ME vied for the lead from along the rail entering the stretch the first time, continued to set a pressured pace from along the rail in the run down the backstretch and into the final turn, was unable to match strides with FRANKIE MACHINE midway through the turn, and was outfinished late. ACE DEUCE stalked the dueling leaders into the stretch the first time while saving ground along the inside, rallied three wide entering the final turn, but was unable to make a serious late impact. MUSTACHIO away well and dueled for the lead from between rivals entering the stretch the first time, continued to force the issue two wide in the run down the backside and into the final turn, but weakened over the final furlong.
