Chart notes
MOUNT VERNON BOY Away on top, set the pace along the two path around the turns, drifted out nearing the eighth pole bumping with MR GHOST, responded and drove clear. RUSTY DE In hand along the three path, two path into the last turn, four wide out of it, reached the leaders three across at the furlong marker and finished second best. MR GHOST Tracked along the three path, took the rail on the turn, eased out, challenged from between nearing the furlong marker, was bumped by the winner, checked and weakened. JACKSON BAY Close up along the rail, dropped back on that path on the final turn and tired. ROUGH GUY Broke slow, four wide on the first turn, tracked on that path to the lane and then drifted in leaving the furlong marker and tired. DR. DARBY Broke slow, trailed four wide, three path on the last turn and tired. A stewards inquiry was posted concerning the stretch run, resulted in no change.
