Chart notes
AMERICAN UNION was rated off the second flight inside foes to the backstretch, made a steady advance to striking distance nearing the far turn, tipped out three wide racing into upper stretch and continued with a steady late response to wear down FIRERY TALE under firm handling. The latter was urged setting the pace along the inside to the backstretch, turned back a challenger leaving the far turn, resisted to late stages but was collared nearing the wire. XTREME V. I. P., forwardly placed stalking just off the pacesetter in the opening half, bid for command nearing upper stretch but flattened out in the drive. ATOMIC CANDY tracked off the first flight along the inside and continued evenly into the lane. RELEASE THE BEAST settled last early, came around foes four wide into upper stretch but made no impact. ALLEN was rated outside a rival in second flight to the backstretch and faded into upper stretch. SIGNOFTHECROSS raced three wide as part of the second flight to the backstretch and steadily faded into the far turn. VIOLIN MAKER settled inside foes and proved no threat.
