Chart notes
NORTH CAROLINA sprinted to a clear lead soon after the start, increased his margin down the backstretch, then drew off through the second turn, and was ridden out. MID ATLANTIC allowed to settle, moved up on the two path through the second turn, came three wide into the stretch and evened out while gaining the place. STEADY EDDIE well placed and outside, gained position on the two path through the second turn, bid on that path into the lane and weakened the final furlong. WHONEW'S TREASURE mid pack, looped up three wide through the second turn, came four wide into the stretch, then could not gain and held a share. MAGIC WIZARD passed tiring rivals. TEMPLE OWL LIAM rated inside, faded through the second turn. TIDDLY WINK mid pack, drifted in and faded through the second turn.
