Chart notes
SAMMY'S SMILE never far back, closed willingly four then three wide, finished with a burst of speed and got up in the the final strides. WORTHY OPPONENT dueled for the lead along the inside into the stretch, shook clear and just missed hanging on. WOLFINE dueled for the lead two wide into the stretch, dropped back a bit then came on again late to finish on even terms with WORTHY OPPONENT at the wire. PRECIOUS JULES passed tiring rivals. RUMBLE STRIP RON stalked the pace three wide for six furlongs then gave way. KISSINGER failed to menace. MONSTER HUNTER was no threat.
