Chart notes
NOBLE CONQUEST raced off the pace, moved up three wide on the far turn, rallied five wide into the stretch, closed well outside, surged in deep stretch and was up in time. SIR TERRE raced off the pace inside, bid four wide at the quarter pole, dueled with HARD KNOCKING, gained command near the sixteenth marker, then dug in gamely to the finish. BIG RED ROCKS was bumped at the start, set the early pace on the inside, eased back off the lead, waited for room on the rail around the far turn, then rallied on the rail in the stretch run. HARD KNOCKING raced off the pace between rivals, bid between foes on the far turn, gained a short lead, dueled in upper stretch and weakened. SPARK (PER) raced off the pace, went four wide on the backside, moved up five wide nearing the quarter pole, then weakened. SHIMMERING LIGHT raced off the pace inside, saved ground on the far turn, came two wide into the lane and lacked a rally. DOUBLE DAVID was bumped at the start and squeezed, stalked the early pace, vied between rivals on the backside, dueled on the far turn and tired. PANADERO was bumped at the start, raced off the pace inside, came four wide into the lane and failed to threaten. PRINCE OF CAPS raced four wide early, settled two wide off the pace and did not factor. BEAU BROWN stalked early on, vied three wide on the backside, bid three wide on the far turn and tired. JO JO KATZ broke awkwardly and was rank losing the rider soon after the start, then walked off. After a Stewards' Inquiry into the start, the race was declared official.
