Chart notes
PROMISING SHOES was unhurried around the first turn and continued reserved up the backstretch, shifted out and given cue at the head of the lane, responded gamely, rallied along the outside and finished clear. ALWAYS A CATCH steadied along the rail around the first turn then rated off the early pace, raced two to three wide around the far turn, launched a four wide bid in the upper stretch, roused forward near the lead but got denied by the winner. KILLEEN set the pace up the backstretch and held clear into the stretch then got overtaken in the final sixteenth. GRAND DESIGN was forwardly placed through early stages, coaxed two wide around the far turn, sustained bid into the lane then faded in late stages. TOUGH COMPANY was unhurried, saved ground around the final turn, tipped two wide for the drive and passed tiring rivals. FOXY ACE raced midpack up the backstretch, failed to progress under pressure around the far turn and faded in the lane. RIVER CACTUS raced off the pace three to four wide and failed to move into contention. HUNK OF A HIT raced off the pace and had no response when called upon. GOTTA LOVE IKE stalked the pace up the backstretch, launched a bid around the far turn then came up empty at the head of the lane.
