Chart notes
BELLA MELA pressured the pace from the seven sixteenths pole, took the lead two deep toward the head of the lane, drew clear mid-stretch and pulled away the final sixteenth. PATTI BLUE EYES chased through the backstretch, rounded the turn about the three path and came along for second the final strides. SING A LULLABYE took the lead approaching the seven sixteenths pole and set a pressured pace, was met at the rail leaving the turn, dropped back mid-stretch and flattened stride. CASTLE TOY chased through the backstretch, raced at the rail on the turn then flattened the final furlong. XANTHE dwelled several lengths leaving the gate, gave chase past the five sixteenths pole, eased outward toward the head of the lane and could only improve her position. AFLEET PENGUIN chased the early pace outside, rounded the turn off the rail and weakened. VIESTE chased inside then faded at the rail on the turn.
