Chart notes
PROVOST set a pressured pace while racing three-wide, opened a clear margin nearing the quarter and held off the closing LEATHERNECK to prevail. LEATHERNECK was reserved just off the leaders early, advanced five-wide through the second turn and rallied late to just miss. SHARPSHOOTINGEORGE was void of early speed, raced six-wide through the second turn and finished with good late energy. DOM WAYNE raced four-wide through both turns, angled in nearing the three-sixteenths marker and finished evenly. BRICKBAT settled off the leaders early, moved four-wide through the second turn, angled out further into the stretch and failed to gain in the drive. CHUCKIES CHANCE was off a step slow, raced off the leaders from the inside and lacked the needed rally. FLICKERING LIGHT pressed the pace while racing four-wide and weakened after going three-quarters. HAPPY FORTY EIGHT raced off the leaders from the inside, weakened and was eased late. STARSHIP CHEWY chased the leaders from the inside, weakened after going five furlongs and was eased through the lane.
