Chart notes
PASSAGE OF LINES prompted the pace four wide to the turn, dueled the runner up and edged clear in the final sixteenth. FOX RED earned a narrow lead off the inside, vied to the final yards and tired. CREA'S BKLYN LAW lacked speed, moved very wide into the stretch closing the gap. DIZZY GILLESPIE chased wide throughout and made a gradual late gain. AWESOME LAUNCH lacked speed along the inside and faltered. SAPONARA forced the pace along the inside for half a mile and weakened. GOLDEN SPOKE dueled between rivals to the stretch and gave way.
