Chart notes
JACKSON HEIGHTS broke a step slow, settled at the rear of the field, went four then five wide around the turn, rallied outside into upper stretch, closed well to get the lead coming to the sixteenth-pole then moved clear under good handling. ARCTIC ARROGANCE was hustled to the front, showed the way while inside a foe starting before the five-eighths, vied in the two path around the turn, was asked for his best while extending the advantage in upper stretch, led to near the sixteenth-pole then was overtaken while clear for the place. DONEGAL SURGES switched to the outside of the leader then moved up to press the pace with five furlongs to run, vied in the three path around the turn, dropped back under a drive in upper stretch and tired while well clear for the show. BLAME IT ON DADDY raced just off the pace, dropped back three then two wide around the turn and came up empty. GENERAL BANKER settled just off the pace, dropped back while inside on the turn and faltered.
