Chart notes
CHAMPAGNE TOAST saved ground stalking the pace, advanced in the two path around the far turn, gained command outside MIT MAZEL in upper stretch and drew out under steady handling. STARTWITHABANG , slow to begin, raced wide around the far turn and rallied outside horses. FLIMSY , bumped in a jam up leaving the starting gate, three wide both turns, chased the pace and weakened. QUIET IMAGINATION , three wide the first turn, moved up inside horses turning for home and flattened out. DRY WELL lacked speed, circled the far turn four wide and failed to be a factor. MIT MAZEL bumped and forced out by PREPAREFORTAKEOFF leaving the starting gate, was eager to run on the first turn, sprinted clear mid way down the backstretch, saved ground on the far turn and tired in the drive. CHICA RABIOSA , bumped and forced out in the jam up leaving the starting gate, lacked speed and steadied in traffic mid way on the far turn. PREPAREFORTAKEOFF had a shoe fixed in the paddock, caused a jam up when bearing out leaving the starting gate, showed speed, stopped on the far turn and was eased.
