Chart notes
RUNABOUT was urged to establish position then raced just off the pace, chased while moving from the two path to the four path around the turn, made a bid in the five path into upper stretch, battled between horses in the final furlong and got up determinedly under strong urging to prevail. LOST IN ROME went to the front, showed the way under pressure while off the rail, moved clear with a half-mile to run, traveled around the turn in the two then three path, came under pressure in the four path into upper stretch, battled gamely with two foes in the final furlong and was denied while able to get the place. TAPIZEARANCE settled just off the pace, moved out leaving the backstretch, was urged five wide on the turn, gained coming to the five-sixteenths, advanced to make a six wide bid into upper stretch, fought outside of the top two in the final furlong and missed while far clear for the show. INVEST pressed the pace on the outside, dropped back with a half-mile to run, fell further back in the four then five path around the turn and tired. AMERICAN LINCOLN was hustled from the start, pressed the pace between horses, dropped back late on the backstretch, fell further back in the three then four path around the turn and capitulated. MANIFEST DESTINY was urged along at the rear while well outside, moved in late on the backstretch, went around the turn in the two path and faltered then was vanned off after the race.
