KINGS RIVER KNIGHT was asked to show early speed then took back on the first turn to track the quick pace, was well placed through the backstretch run, saved ground while within aim on the far turn, tipped out at the top of the stretch, produced a good late kick to overtake U. S. DANGER inside of the furlong marker and held safely at the end over the oncoming runner-up. TABLE FOR TEN lacked early speed, improved position along the backstretch run, continued to gain ground on the far turn while three wide, came within aim of the leaders in mid-stretch, finished well in the final sixteenth, could not reel in the winner late but was up in time to secure second. U. S. DANGER was sent to the early lead, set fast contested fractions through the backstretch run, shook off the pressing rival along the far turn and extended the lead into upper stretch, could not hold off KINGS RIVER KNIGHT inside of the furlong marker and was outfinished late for second, while well clear of the rest for third. BIG FLAME was allowed to settle, saved ground through the backstretch run, came two wide along the far turn, swung five wide into upper stretch, was not able to impact the leaders in the final stages but did offer a mild late rally. BUENISIMO saved all of the ground while never far back and did not produce a late kick in the stretch run. SHOT OF A LIFETIME settled in the second flight, kept a two wide path while maintaining position into the second turn, lost position in upper stretch and lacked a late rally. ANITANEWMERCEDES was hustled to be forwardly placed, prompted the solid pace through the second turn, lost ground in upper stretch and weakened in the final furlong. WALKING BOSS was slow into stride early on, was unhurried through the backstretch run and trailed throughout.
