Chart notes
SEVEN IS A BREEZE was unhurried early, a factor on the far turn and from the five path at the top of the stretch drew clear. PETAWAWA settled off the pace, gained ground on the far turn and with a bid from the six path through the stretch was second best. BLACK SUN showed speed from the inside and had a clear lead on the far turn but from the four path at the top of the stretch gave way. JUST START ME UP was hustled from the outside but chased on the far turn and dropped back through the stretch. ASCOT BAY was up close but lost ground on the far turn and was empty.
