Chart notes

GOODIE GOOMER tracked the pace well back, moved up inside through the second turn, came through inside of rivals into the stretch, angled out, lugged in, then made a steady gain and drew off late. DRIFTWOOD sprinted away from the field in the early going, held sway to inside the furlong marker, then was no match for the winner and held the place. WHISKEY DOUBLE unhurried, angled out through the second turn, came widest into the stretch and had a mild late gain. HARROW mid pack, gained position three wide into the second turn, saved ground on the two path through the turn, then fanned four wide into the stretch and faded. ALABAMA SLAMMER well placed and outside, held position on the two path to midway of the second turn, then dropped back and faded into the stretch. VALENTINE BUG reared at the start, moved up four wide into the second turn, held position through the second turn, then faded into the stretch.
