Chart notes
JUBA'S NOTION became a little anxious in the gate then settled close in the three and four paths on the opening turn, bid past the quarter pole, eased slightly out leaving the turn, dug in for the lead later yards and inched ahead of HONEYQUIST through the final yards. The latter rated a slim lead inside, pulled clear of Lord Of Cork approaching the quarter pole, ran at the rail on the far turn but was met mid-stretch and grudgingly ceded later yards. PAYMENGOLD rounded the first turn in the four path, gave chase nearing the three eighths pole, raced in the four path of the far turn, got up for third mid-stretch and finished well while gaining on the top two. NEVERPOPTHECORK saved ground on the first turn then eased out into the backstretch, gave chase leaving the seven sixteenths pole, rounded the far turn about the five path, eased out past the eighth pole and ran evenly in the lane. LORD OF CORK stalked from the two and three paths, challenged into the backstretch and gave chase, but dropped back toward the quarter pole, ran in the three path of the far turn then flattened in the lane. AREYOUGONNAKISSME rounded the first turn about the five path and left the turn outside, gave chase from the seven sixteenths pole, raced off the rail on the far turn and showed little in the lane. STROLLINGINTHEWIND rounded the first turn in the four and five paths, picked up the chase from the seven sixteenths pole, came through the far turn in the five path and passed rivals. TEACHINTHERELEASE rated close to the early pace inside, gave chase from the seven sixteenths pole but weakened off the rail on the far turn. XCELLENT START rounded the first turn in the five and six paths and made only a mild middle move. PINNACLE REEF became fractious in the gate and settled off the rail the first turn, gave chase from the three eighths pole but weakened at the rail on the far turn.
