Chart notes
ROBBY'S RANSOM mid pack and inside, saved ground on the two path through the second turn, came through on that path, angled in, was blocked, then angled out, made a steady gain and edged up. STRIKE THE TOP well placed and between, held position on the two path through the second turn, fanned four wide into the stretch, then lacked the needed late kick. TEMPLET tracked the pace, saved ground through the turn, came through inside of rivals into the stretch, angled three wide and evened out. MR. SHADES OF GRAY sprinted to a clear lead soon after the start, stayed on when challenged down the backstretch, came again and edged ahead through the turn, then weakened late and held a share. FLAWLESS BOURBON stalked the pace on the outside, moved up gaining a short lead down the backstretch, stayed on when challenged through the second turn, then weakened the final sixteenth. GAGE HAS A GRAY well placed and outside, held position three wide through the second turn, then faded into the stretch. FLIGHT TO PARADISE was never involved. QUALITY RUN was no factor.
