FIREWATER JAKE chased the pace along the inside through the far turn, tipped into the three path into the lane, rallied for the lead with an eighth to go then could not hold the winner safe late while well clear of the others. LORD REVELSTOKE was unhurried while off the inside, angled into the seven path into the lane and moved up while not a threat to the top two. EVIL EYE raced in the three or four path through the turn, came into the lane from the four or five path and lacked a closing bid. TIZ OUR TURN pressed the pace two wide through the far turn, led into the lane then weakened after straightening. CAN'T HIDE FROM ME raced in mid-pack while in the three or four path and lacked a response. FLY NIGHTLY was never a menace while racing near the inside through the turns. STEWARDS RULES broke outward at the start, moved to contention while in the three path, was still a serious threat in late far turn and tired in the lane. CALIFORNIA SWING outrun while in the three path through the turns. CLEAR FOR ACTION set the pace while along the inside through late turn and was empty. T J MUNNINGS was outrun while in the two path through the turns. A STEWARD'S INQUIRY INTO THE STRETCH RUN FOUND NO REASON FOR CHANGE OF ORDER.
