Chart notes
AFTER THE CANDY broke alertly and showed early speed to dictate terms to the turn, set solid fractions while extending the lead into upper stretch, had the margin cut into in deep stretch but kept to task late to prevail. TIZ VICIOUS chased the solid early pace, came four wide on the turn while gaining ground, was not able to reel in the winner in deep stretch but stayed on well in the final stages to secure place. ARTHUR SPOONER chased from the inside, gained ground nearing mid-stretch, gave way in the final furlong but was clear for third in the end. AMITY HARBOR stalked the pace, came two wide between rivals on the turn, lost ground in upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. RHODIUM RUNNER showed early speed in pursuit of the pacesetter, lost position three wide on the turn and tired in the drive. TEXAS LONHRO was off slowly, chased from the rear, came five wide into upper stretch and did not threaten late.
