LASTING LIGHT broke sharply and vied for the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, set a pressured pace from the inside of ANIMA in the run down the backstretch and through the final turn, got the better of her pace rival entering the lane and quickly opened a clear advantage, and held HARLAN'S ANGEL safely at bay late to prove best. HARLAN'S ANGEL tracked the leaders from just off the rail in the run down the backstretch, launched her bid three wide entering the final turn, and closed determinedly two out from the rail in the drive to get up for the place in the closing strides. TAKE CHARGE GWEN stalked the early pace while racing two out from the rail entering the backstretch, rallied two wide entering the final turn, and finished well from along the rail in the drive to garner a share. ANIMA away well and dueled for the lead from the outside of LASTING LIGHT in the run down the backstretch, continued to force the issue two wide through the final turn, was unable to match strides with her pace rival leaving the turn, and was outfinished late. MAKIN IT UP away alertly, but was taken in hand and allowed to drop to the back of a compact field while maintaining a stalking trip entering the backstretch, struggled to keep within striking distance of the leaders through the final turn, but showed late interest while finishing four wide in deep stretch.
