Chart notes
SOUTHERN LAD , two wide chasing the pace around the turn, gained command outside HOPE HE'S FAST in upper stretch, remained on his left lead until deep stretch and held sway under steady urging. WORLD FACTOR , in the two path between horses on the turn, angled out in mid stretch, remained between rivals and passed tired ones. OVER THE BORDER raced in the three path on the turn, floated out in mid stretch and flattened out. HOPE HE'S FAST showed speed along the inner rail and gave way in the drive. RASCALLY REBEL hugged the inner rail around the turn and failed to rally. PLAYER BOY , four deep entering the turn, faltered.
