BATTALION , bumped at the break, edged up early under firm rating, edged up to the inside of a rival into the far turn, angled out, surged four wide outside rivals to take over into the lane, spurted away under a drive in mid stretch then held firm while kept alert. ONE TWO KID unhurried early, angled outside a tiring rival leaving the far turn, dropped back soon after, had ample room inside rivals to advance nearing mid stretch and kept on willingly to bridge the gap and gain the place. STRONG HEADED , bumped at the break, moved up early and stalked off the inside, advanced between foes nearing the lane, angled five wide for the drive, moved up in tandem and to the outside of SMILE BRYAN and churned on with interest. SMILE BRYAN , taken to rate, moved up to the inside of a rival around the final turn, came out to gain four wide into the lane, advance with STRONG HEADED but was out kicked. RESIDENT LIBERAL , five wide into the backstretch, moved in some past the five eighths, steady briefly when advancing past the five sixteenths, found room to gain in upper stretch, shifted out but lacked a serious finish. GO POKE THE BEAR , unhurried early, swung well wide in upper stretch but failed to menace. FERMAT settled off the inside, angled out in upper stretch but lacked a bid. PAPAL LAW prompted two wide, moved to apply more pressure around the far turn, vied to upper stretch then faded in the final furlong. U S CONSTITUTION , closed up inside, angled out past the half, chased four wide under a ride past the five sixteenths and faded. BOMBOLONI took over early, set the pace towards the inside, took pressure leaving the far turn, stayed on to upper stretch then weakened. DANCING TIL DUSK , off the rail, dropped back. TOE CURLIN' KISS saved ground, made a mild run near the half, failed to kick on and tired.
