Chart notes
PRINCE AMADEUS stalked the early pace on the outside and was carried out into the backstretch, angled in and took command, then drew off through the second turn and was kept to task in the lane. SPEED WAY well placed and inside, saved ground on the two path through the second turn, bid on that path into the lane, then was no threat to the winner, while clearly best of the rest. SUMMER PALACE allowed to settle, looped three and four wide through the second turn, came four wide into the stretch, angled widest and got up for the show. DECEIVER mid pack, moved up two and three wide through the second turn, came four wide into the stretch and got up for a share. CREATIVE CHOICE set the early pace bearing out, stayed on when loosing command down the backstretch, held position two and three wide through the second turn, then weakened the final furlong. BACKDOORPARTY mid pack and inside, lost ground through the second turn, came through inside and ran evenly in the stretch. RICHARD HOOTY passed a tiring rival. UMBRAGE was no factor.
