ALQWANI cleared into the clubhouse turn, continued on the lead down the backstretch and in the two path on the far turn, came into the lane between horses as VERKLIMT and MORE ROMANCE loomed, kept on between horses, came out midstretch, battled on, but surrendered the lead grudgingly past the sixteenth. MORE ROMANCE settled toward the rear inside, was nudged along inside near the five eighths and improved position, chased the leading pair and took closer order while saving ground around the far turn, was driven inside into the lane, sustained her improvement and loomed midstretch but was outfinished in the final sixteenth. FOXGLOVE trailed early, took closer order approaching the half, checked behind DRAGONFLY KISSES past the half, raced with the rear pair in the three path around the far turn, angled out in upper stretch, and chased on best of the rest under a drive. MOON PIES IMAGE raced at the inside of the tracking flight through the first turn, chased inside down the back straight as ALQWANI and VERKLIMT cleared the rest of the field, chased in the two to three path on the far turn, was driven in upper stretch and lacked the needed kick. LOCK IT DOWN stumbled at the break, settled toward the rear outside MORE ROMANCE early, was pushed along three wide to improve position down the back straight, chased in the four to five path on the far turn, swung five wide into the lane and weakened. DRAGONFLY KISSES raced three wide with the tracking flight around the clubhouse turn, chased between horses down the backstretch, raced along the rail in the rear pair around the far turn, was driven inside into the lane and had no response.
