Chart notes
SHELL FIRE with the second flight between horses, surged four wide in upper stretch under right handed urging to make the lead near the furlong marker and shook clear under confident handling. GIZMO JONES allowed to settle, rallied through the stretch five wide and got up for second. LUCKY ANDY vied for the lead along the inside, drew on even terms for the lead along the rail in upper stretch then was outfinished. TIP SHEET unhurried early, found his best stride late two wide. GALTERO sprinted to a clear lead soon after the start, set the pace for nearly six furlongs, dueled until late stretch three wide and weakened late. DEBDURITE with the second flight three wide, failed to respond. ARTEMUS EAGLE settled mid pack, advanced four wide into the far turn then came up empty. SLICK SILVER was outrun. FULCO chased the early pace, began to pressure the leader before a half, gained a slight lead on the far turn, battled into the stretch then flattened out. MAN DOWN was never involved.
