Chart notes
NAVAL AVIATOR split rivals to challenge the leader then edged ahead following a long drive. VISUAL ARTIST hustled to a clear advantage to the far turn, was collared but held on gamely. OLYMPIC ROMP saved ground early, angled wide on the final turn and closed well. MY FRIENDS BEER stalked the pacesetters outside then faded on the final turn. ABSENTEE lacked speed then narrowed the gap without menacing. HARD STING lagged far behind and was never in contention. TEXAS BASIN saved ground close up for half a mile and gave way.
