Chart notes
ROYAL SQUEEZE stalked the pace three wide down the backstretch, bid two wide around the turn, took over near the five-sixteenths pole and dug in inside of foes to hold sway. VALID EXCHANGE was devoid of speed, advanced three and four wide around the turn and finished well widest. STAR JUANCHO tracked the pace two wide down the backstretch, tipped three wide midway around the turn, had aim outside of the winner in upper stretch but flattened out late. EXAMINER set the pace along the rail, was collared near the five-sixteenths pole, fought on inside to midstretch then weakened a bit late. NEW YORK STYLE chased the pace inside and lacked a closing bid. PROSPECT PROJECT was outrun while racing two wide.
