Chart notes
SPLICETHEMAINBRACE reserved inside the pacesetter, vied through the final turn with the runnerup then edged away in the final furlong. ABUELO NUNO raced alongside the winner, dueled on the final turn but was outfinished. GEEBERT saved ground throughout, rallied mildly but was no match for the top pair. SOUTHERN BRIDGE chased outside, faded on the turn then came again mildly. DISTRACTANDATTACK hustled to the front for five furlongs then drifted out tiring. COLONEL JUAN lagged far behind, moved wide on the final turn and was eased late. SOUPER FLY OVER dropped far back and never in contention. EXCURSION raced within range three wide and weakened steadily.
