DAYDREAMING BOY quickly showed in front, set the pace on the inside, responded when roused in upper stretch, drew off and was ridden out. BLUE ROYAL stalked the pacesetter, chased on the turn, made a mild bid at the quarter pole, then dug in through the stretch drive and held on for second. VEESON chased two wide, moved up on the turn, rallied inside in the stretch run and dug in gamely to the finish. FRANKIEBLUEEYES was off a bit slow, outrun early and passed tired rivals in the lane. MEET THE ELITE chased on the inside, chased on the turn and gave way. KIDMAN KERRY chased four wide early, then three wide, gave way and stopped in the lane.
