Chart notes

LAST MINUTE MARIO was away alertly to set the pace on the inside, then dueled on the turn, dug in gamely in the stretch and prevailed under a drive. FREEDOM'S START prompted the pace and made a three wide bid on the turn to duel with the winner but was outfinished to just miss. ORASHI chased the pace five wide and then was four wide on the turn, then offered a mild late rally but needed more. AGGRANDIZE chased the pace three wide and came three wide into the lane, angled in by the sixteenth pole and had no kick. BUFF AND SHINE was well placed on the inside and weakened. MR DUBAI was settled early, saved ground by the quarter pole and had no rally. WHISTLE PLAYER failed to menace.
