FREDONIAN was stalking the pace while inside, shuffled back on the turn looking for racing room, angled back inside and avoided the spill at the quarter pole, rallied and angled out to be four wide in mid stretch and was in a strong drive to be best in the end. TARUCA stalked the pace while three wide on the backstretch, made a bid four wide turning for home, gained the lead while in a hard drive but hung in late stretch. HEZA WILD RIDE dueled for the lead while two wide on the backstretch, was in a long drive and had his heels clipped at the quarter pole then came up empty in late stretch. ROYALLY dueled for the lead while inside, was in a long drive then faltered in the stretch. BIG POWER RED was unhurried early and was two wide into the far turn, avoided the spill at the quarter pole and was no threat in the stretch. DEANOS CAPE was allowed to settled and raced inside on the backstretch, saved ground on the far turn and failed to menace. ROCKPORT KAT raced four wide on the backstretch and was making a bid on the far turn then hit a fallen rival at the quarter pole and lost his rider then was walked off. DOBBINS G was settled while two wide on the backstretch, made a bid three wide on the far turn then clipped the heels of HEZA WILD RIDE at the quarter pole and fell to the track then was walked off after the race. A steward's inquiry was held concerning the incident at the quarter pole. After reviewing the film's, no action was taken.
