Chart notes
NAVY SWORD saved ground well off the early pace, closed the gap from the half mile pole then bid nearing the three eighths, contested at a close disadvantage off the rail on the far turn, took the nod past the eighth pole and dug in under determined handling to keep the edge. SENECA ROCKS settled off the rail early then eased out into the backstretch, picked up the chase toward the three eighths pole, raced close three wide on the far turn, dug in leaving the turn to take second mid-stretch and finished well while gaining on the winner. SOMEDAY IS TODAY drew clear and angled to the inside to rate the pace, came under pressure approaching the three eighths pole, contested the edge nearest the rail on the far turn, but was met leaving the eighth pole and relented the final sixteenth. AZZURRA exchanged contact with The Sky Is Falling leaving the gate then raced well back off the rail on the first turn, eased out leaving the second turn and bid approaching the seven sixteenths pole, raced near the rail on the far turn, eased to the outside in the upper stretch and ran evenly from there. YOLO CHARLOTTE rated close to the early pace inside, gave chase leaving the half mile pole then faded on the far turn. THE SKY IS FALLING exchanged contact with Azzurra leaving the gate and settled in the three path early, eased out into the backstretch, gave chase from the seven sixteenths pole but showed little resolve and flattened in the three path of the far turn. TIZBIT settled off the pace about the four path the first turn, saved ground into the second turn then faded through the backstretch.
