SMART BATTLE vied for the early lead while four wide into the turn, rallied and drew clear in upper stretch and was clearly best in the end. DIRECTIONAL lunged at the start then was settled, rallied four wide on the turn, was gaining ground and was second best in the end. DEPUTY LAW vied for the lead while inside, was in a long drive and gamely dug in but weakened in late stretch. HELLEPHENT vied for the early lead while three wide, was in a long drive and weakened. ELUSIVE FREUD was unhurried early then made a mild rally while inside in the stretch but was no threat. KLIMCO was unhurried early and failed to menace. WHO'S BIG DADDY was unhurried early and no threat. DEL MOON was allowed to settled then failed to respond.
