Chart notes
CHIPPEWA'S CASTLE chased through the backstretch, rounded the turn about the three path, was carried out into the lane but dueled for the lead mid-stretch, drew clear past the sixteenth pole and held on driving. DONNIE B chased outside, rounded the turn about the five path and was steadily handled to hold on for second. EVANESCO chased well off the early pace, rounded the turn off the rail, angled to the seven path into the lane and finished well while gaining on the top two. NICE BUT NAUGHTY chased inside, raced near the rail on the turn then flattened the final sixteenth. NEEDNOEXPLANATION chased, raced off the rail on the turn, was carried out leaving the turn and weakened in the lane. B. J. MOOSE set a pressured pace, raced near the rail on the turn, drifted into the lane, was caught past the eighth pole and weakened.
