RICH GOLD was off slow and broke out, raced outside a rival at the back early, advanced between on the far turn, came four wide into the stretch, bid inside the top pair at the eight pole, dueled with ICE STORM in the final furlong and proved best in the end. ICE STORM bobbled leaving the gate, chased two wide then had to steady off heels on the first turn, remained in the two path entering the far turn, angled out and spun five wide into the lane, rallied alongside the leader at the eight pole, fought with RICH GOLD in deep stretch but was bested in the closing moments. LOCO LUNA got forced out and bumped into the first turn, stalked the top pair to the far turn, bid three deep past the quarter pole and came four wide into the stretch, took over in upper stretch but flattened in the final sixteenth. LORD OF LIGHT tracked three wide early, tried to fit through a tight spot but had to check past the three-eighths pole, angled out and came five wide into the stretch and kept on for a minor award. ARGENTINA CRIES (IRE) showed early speed from inside then drifted out into the first turn, dueled for command inside POST FACTO, fought around the far turn and into the stretch, then weakened in the final furlong. REIGN OVER ME got fanned seven wide into the first turn then angled down to the four path, traveled in mid-pack outside a pair of rivals in the middle stages, remained off the inside and came six wide into the lane, got bothered in upper stretch and could not rally. POST FACTO got bumped and fanned six wide on the first turn, went up to challenge leaving the clubhouse turn while angling in a few paths, dueled for command up the backstretch and far turn, battled three wide into the lane and gave way. MR. FIGHTER chased along the inside through both turns and weakened. BESKAR was fractious in the gate, broke slow, raced on the inside at the back, trailed into the far turn, stayed along the rail and never threatened. LAMPY got bumped and fanned four wide into the first turn then had to steady around the bend, chased outside a rival then bumped past the three-eighths pole and dropped back four then three wide, trailed into the lane and had little left in the drive.
